Pistachio fudge from sis

Pistachio fudge

2/3 c. margerine
3 c. sugar
2/3 c. evaporated milk
1 8-oz pcks pistachio nuts and/or favorite flavor of chips
1 7-0z container marshmallow creme (e.g. Baker's Choice)
1 t. vanilla (or almond extract)
few drops green dye

De0shell and chop pistachios. Lightly greased 9 by 13 inch baking pan in a large pot. Combine margerine, sugar, milk. Bring to a full boil, over medium heat, stirring constantly. Continue boiling about 5 min. until mixture reaches soft ball stage (234 degrees F) stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in nuts and/or chips and dye until mixture is evenly green or chips are melted.) Stir in extract. Spread onto prepared pans and cool at room temperature. Cut into squares when cooled and firm.
